Financial Management System for Associations, Foundations and Service Organizations

Coming next to DHDial & Company’s family of financial management systems is R:Link, a product designed specifically for associations, foundations and service organizations which require a highly flexible, financial reporting capability. This system is especially suited for organizations which have a wide range of activities, programs, projects, departments and other cost centers. A unique feature of this system is its ability to mirror the structure of an organization where new activities and programs are being created routinely. As the financial structure of the organization changes, the reporting structure in the system can be changed without modifying the account coding for existing transactions.

The R:Link System uses a simple account coding structure consisting of a single organization code to identify the activity or cost center and a two-element account number (major and optional sub account) to identify the general ledger account. This system does not require the complex, multiple-segment account codes used by other systems. Instead, a unique linking feature permits activities, programs, departments and other cost centers to be combined for financial reporting purposes without requiring the organizational structure to be defined in the coding system, hence the name R:Link. This system also supports multiple organizations with consolidated reporting for any group of organizations. In addition, the R:Link System supports either accrual or cash-basis accounting. If desired, you can even select the special dual-basis of accounting which simultaneously provides both accrual and cash-basis financial reporting.

State-of-the-art technology is being used to develop this new client/server system for Microsoft Windows. The database for this system is managed by a powerful, SQL database manager to permit the system to support large, national organizations as well as smaller, local affiliates. The integrated financial report writer eliminates the need to purchase additional software for financial reporting.
